Xuan Nguyen has served on the ACLU of Wisconsin Board of Directors since 2023.
Xuan is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Sociology Department. Before her doctoral training, her background is in international affairs and global health. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco in the youth and gender development sector.
Passionate about the ACLU's commitment to justice through both legal and community advocacy, Xuan is particularly excited to be involved with the Wisconsin affiliate where elections are high-stake, especially when it comes to safeguarding the rights of marginalized groups that are so often at risk. From transgender rights, reproductive freedom, to electoral integrity, she is proud and grateful to be affiliated with an organization so dedicated to grassroots, impact-focused organizing.
