David Gwidt

David has been with the ACLU of Wisconsin since September 2019.

“We are each other's harvest; we are each other's business; we are each other's magnitude and bond.”

Gwendolyn Brooks

Serving as communications manager, David writes press releases, blogs, op-eds, and other forms of written communication. He helps integrate communications into our advocacy and community engagement work, leveraging his skills to advance the ACLU’s campaigns, legislative efforts, and organizing programs.

He has spent his entire short professional career at the ACLU, where he held multiple positions before stepping into his current role. David graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in journalism and political science.

He cares deeply about all the work the ACLU does. Some of the work he has found most rewarding includes our efforts around criminal legal reform, voting rights, immigration, and racial justice.
