This bill protects Indigenous students’ rights to wear traditional tribal regalia at a graduation ceremony or school-sponsored event.

This bill would authorize DPI to award a grant to school boards that terminate the use of tribal or race-based nicknames, logos, mascots, or team names.

Indigenous students should be able to celebrate graduation in tribal regalia without uncertainty or controversy.
