The ACLU of Wisconsin issued a statement today denouncing the state Supreme Court’s decision to ban ballot drop boxes and return assistance in Wisconsin.

This bill would make it easier for teachers to take students out of classrooms if the teacher says the student’s behavior is disruptive, creating new avenues for excluding students with disabilities by creating new powers to eject a student from the classroom.

This bill would require schools to notify all parents of every student in the class each time a student is removed from the classroom and explain how the removed student diminished the quality or quantity of instructional time provided to the class.

This proposed constitutional amendment would guarantee that the state and local governments must treat everyone equally under the law.

This joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment to ban state agencies and local governments from using race, sex, ethnicity and other factors in hiring decisions and public accommodations.
