AB 48/SB 55: Safe Harbor

Summary

The Safe Harbor bill would help protect young people from exploitation, sex trafficking, and abuse.

Failed to pass both houses, will not become law this session

Under this bill, a young person who is under the age of 18 may not be prosecuted or adjudicated delinquent for “committing an act of prostitution.”

Young people should be protected from exploitation, sex trafficking, and abuse – not criminalized.
