What's At Stake
As Wisconsinites plea for racial justice and real public safety solutions, policing remains systemically inequitable, the conditions inside Wisconsin prisons remain unacceptable, and marijuana remains illegal — all the while the system continues to siphon off critical taxpayer money.
Our Work
There's still a long way to go to end mass incarceration in Wisconsin, but recently, there's been some good news:
- We won our case against the Department of Corrections for separating justice-impacted parents from their children.
- We offer a Know Your Rights Community Training Program to prepare Milwaukeeans to interact with police.
- We continue to push for legalization, as well as true repair for the harm caused by the war on drugs.
- We are fighting several bad bills, including initiatives for a modern-day poll tax, AI court interpreters, and automatic revocation.
- We support the Conditions of Confinement package of bills seeking to ensure a basic standard of living.
