Alyssa Mauk

Alyssa has been with the ACLU of Wisconsin since May 26, 2020. 

As Communications Director, Alyssa is responsible for social media and website management, strategic writing and public relations for the ACLU of Wisconsin.  

She is passionate about racial justice and all forms of equality. "No racial background, sexual orientation, religious preference or physical handicap should limit a person’s ability to fully experience the American dream and experience." Other areas of interest include:

As a former journalist, Alyssa has won several Wisconsin Newspaper Association awards for her work. Before coming to the ACLU of Wisconsin, Alyssa worked for the The Journal Times newspaper in Racine. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Theatre Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha.
