This bill sets limits and conditions for placing people in solitary confinement in state prisons and county jails.

This bill would require women to use “catch kits” when they have a miscarriage or abortion–literally forcing them to bag up their pregnancy tissue and bring it back to the doctor’s office as medical waste.

This bill provides that any person incarcerated in a DOC facility, county jail, house of correction, or huber facility must be paid a wage that is not less than the rate for tipped workers.

This bill creates strict new rules for hemp-derived cannabinoid (HDC) products.

This bill would create a robust anti-SLAPP law allowing a person being sued in a SLAPP suit to file a motion to strike the lawsuit if it arises from their constitutional right of petition or free speech in connection with a public issue.

This bill prohibits law enforcement from circumventing Fourth Amendment warrant requirements – including its probable cause, individualized suspicion, and judicial oversight standards – by purchasing an individual’s private, personal data from data brokers and other data collectors.

The bill essentially punishes unhoused people for existing outside approved facilities and gives the state broad authority to control where people may live, rather than providing adequate housing solutions.

This bill runs the risk of either criminalizing people in desperate need of shelter care and other services.

This bill would require schools to notify all parents of every student in the class each time a student is removed from the classroom and explain how the removed student diminished the quality or quantity of instructional time provided to the class.
