AB-736/ SB-728: Period Products are a Human Right

This bill requires state prisons and county jails to provide verified nontoxic menstrual products—tampons, pads, and at least one reusable menstrual cup—free of charge to any incarcerated person with an active menstrual cycle. Facilities must also have the means to sanitize reusable menstrual cups as needed. The bill ensures equal access to menstrual products across all correctional institutions.
