We are proud to announce that ACLU of Wisconsin Executive Director Dr. Melinda Brennan has been named a 2023 Woman of Influence by the Milwaukee Business Journal.

The award recognizes Milwaukee-area women who are leaders and making a difference in their professions and communities.

Dr. Brennan was one of 30 women to receive the award. She and the other winners will be profiled in the Business Journal as well as honored in a ceremony later this year.

Join The ACLU of Wisconsin and The Community on Saturday, May 20, for a screening of Correcting the Narrative, a film about the successes, humanity, and agency of people with criminal records. The screening will be followed by a Q&A discussion.

We welcome the following panelists:

  • Philip Bennett – Owner of multiple businesses and properties.
  • Scott Bolstad – Co-Founder of the Joseph Project.
  • Bill Harrigan – Founder and CEO of Harrigan Solutions.
  • Melissa Ludin – ACLU-WI Coalition and Relations Advocate.

Panel moderated by Shannon Ross – Executive Director of The Community.
