Let Milwaukee Vote Early

After successful advocacy, we won increased early voting access in Milwaukee.

We won both of our asks:

  • Replace the early voting location at Midtown with the visibly close, equitable, and accessible alternative at 6001 W Capitol Drive.

  • Increase funding in the 2024 City of Milwaukee Budget for early voting and guarantee locations on the UWM and MATC campuses.

Let people vote early

We joined a coalition of organizations to defend Milwaukee's most popular early voting site and testified before the Milwaukee Common Council. We succeeded in getting our requested early voting locations at 6001 W. Capitol Drive and on-campus at UWM and MATC.

By offering a testimony training at UWM, we built community power for the campaign and presented a unified front in front of our city officials by wearing gold Let People Vote t-shirts.

Read the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's coverage of the first public hearing, including testimony from Deputy Advocacy Director James Stein.
