Bill Lynch

William H. Lynch has served on the ACLU of Wisconsin Board of Directors since 1978.

Bill is a retired attorney based in Milwaukee. His law practice focused on civil rights, and he previously worked as Executive Director and Legal Director of the ACLU of Wisconsin. He is most passionate about racial justice and freedom of expression.

He acted as the organization's treasurer from 1992 to 2011. From 1979 to 1991, he served on the National Board of Directors of the ACLU. He chaired the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservancy Task Force and is a member of the boards of the Midwest Environmental Advocates, the Lakefront Development Advisory Commission in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Conservation Voices and Preserve Our Parks.
