Summary

The ACLU of Wisconsin invites you to join our Know Your Rights: Surveillance, Privacy, Technology Edition! This training will take place on February 12th, from 6:00pm-7:30pm, via Zoom Webinar.

The ACLU works on both nationwide and statewide issues related to expanding the right to privacy, increasing the control individuals have over their personal information, and ensuring civil liberties are enhanced rather than compromised by technological innovation. Our digital footprint is constantly growing, containing more and more data about the most intimate aspects of our lives. This includes our communications, whereabouts, online searches, purchases, and even our bodies.

When the government has easy access to this information, we lose more than just privacy and control over our information. Free speech, security, and equality suffer as well. That is why it is as important as ever to Know Your Rights when it comes to YOUR privacy - we hope to see you in community with one another on February 12th!

The material presented in these trainings are geared towards an adult audience. If you are a young person or a parent of a young person who may be interested in participating in this training, feel free to reach out to development-engagement@aclu-wi.org prior to registering.
