Dozens of singers continued their noontime Capitol ritual Tuesday despite admonitions from police and last week’s temporary court ruling allowing the state to regulate groups larger than 20.

A Capitol Police officer used a bullhorn to deliver a message to the group that they were violating building rules, but he was drowned out by at least 60 people singing and marching in the rotunda.

“They tried to deliver something, but I could not hear what they were doing,” said Jonathan Rosenblum, a local labor lawyer who led participants in a song. “There should be a reservation system for the rotunda.”

Participants said a Capitol Police officer tried to deliver the same message Monday without a bullhorn.
