This bill requires distributors of explicit content to display prominent warning labels on both print and digital materials intended for adult audiences. For online content, the warning must appear before access, occupy most of the screen, remain visible for a set period, and be embedded in the content’s metadata.

The bill authorizes the Department of Justice to investigate violations and impose escalating financial penalties. It also allows individuals to notify the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) of alleged violations and bring private lawsuits if DOJ does not take action on a complaint.
