Summary

The ACLU of Wisconsin is proud to partner with EXPO (EX-Incarcerated People Organizing) to restore the vote for people who have completed their sentences and ensure that all eligible Wisconsinites can fully participate in our democracy.

EX-incarcerated People Organizing (EXPO) advocates for the restoration of voting rights for people impacted by the criminal legal system. Through this work, they uncovered a critical reality: many people who had legally completed their sentences did not know – or did not trust – that their right to vote has been restored. Fear, misinformation, and inconsistent guidance keep eligible voters from participating.

EXPO collaborates with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections to notify hundreds of thousands of individuals statewide when their voting rights have been restored – but we need volunteers who care about empowering communities.

Sign up for one of our virtual phone banks every Thursday until Election Day, and make calls from the comfort of your own home. Training and scripts will be provided, no experience necessary!
