William F. Sulton is currently the President of ACLU of Wisconsin's Board of Directors. He is a trial lawyer with the law firm of Gingras, Thomsen & Wachs and his practice focuses on civil, constitutional and employee rights. In addition to his legal career, Mr. Sulton also serves as the treasurer of the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers (WAAL), as well as on the Legal Redress Committee for the Milwaukee Branch of the NAACP.
Mr. Sulton has a passion for a number of issues the ACLU works with, including policing, criminal justice, racial disparities in employment and the workplace, and accessible housing. He is a also a fierce advocate for the small business community.
A graduate of Michigan State and the University of Wisconsin Law School, Mr. Sulton is married and has four children.
