Maria I. Rodriguez has served on the ACLU of Wisconsin Board of Directors since 2021.
A lifelong resident of Milwaukee, Maria retired after 30 years with the city's Housing Authority and serving as the Director of the Election Commission of the City of Milwaukee. She currently volunteers with United Way, El Comite Por El Voto Latino in the League of Women Voters, the Clark Square Neighborhood Initiative and ACLU Governance Committee. Maria has been recognized with the Gwen Jackson Community Service Award from United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha.
Her passion lies in voting rights because she feels that voting is essential to being part of a community and having a say in how we live and work.
