The ACLU of Wisconsin aims to ensure that all voters, particularly those who are historically disenfranchised, have the information about voting and what’s on the ballot so they can vote in this election and maintain a Supreme Court that will protect the civil rights and liberties of Wisconsin voters.

There will be four elections this year, held on February 17, April 7, August 11, and November 3, 2026.

In April, Wisconsinites will elect a new state supreme court justice to a ten-year term. Important races for governor, state and federal legislators, and constitutional referenda will appear on the November ballot.

As the federal government continues to abuse its power and violate core constitutional protections, we need a state Supreme Court that is unwaveringly committed to upholding our rights. The Wisconsin Supreme Court decides cases related to voting access, election administration, reproductive freedom, immigration detention, policing, and criminal legal protections. A single decision can affect millions of Wisconsinites.

Our top priority is to give Wisconsin voters all the tools they need to cast an informed vote this April. We want to ensure that Wisconsinites understand the stakes of this election and are educated about where the candidates stand on the issues. To do that, we’ll run a series of digital ads in different regions across the state and launch a radio campaign with our national partners.

In addition to investing in paid media strategies, we’ll also reach voters through the press and other communication channels, deploying our expertise to educate people about their voting rights and to emphasize the impact their vote can have on all of our futures.
