Larry has been employed at the ACLU of Wisconsin since 2003.

Larry provides overall leadership and coordination of the ACLU of Wisconsin Foundation’s litigation program. His job is to help to ensure that the rights and civil liberties of all are intact and when they are not to pursue impact litigation. This entails working with the brilliant attorneys and other staff at the ACLU, as well as the brilliant and generous cooperating private bar attorneys who donate their time and skills to the ACLU’s work.
Larry graduated from NYU law school, where he was a Root-Tilden public service scholar, in 1996. After law school, he was a law clerk to federal district Judge Robert W. Sweet, in the Southern District of New York, and then joined Legal Action of Wisconsin, first as a Skadden Fellow, then as a Staff Attorney.
In 2014 Community Shares of Wisconsin recognized him with the Linda Sundberg Civil Rights Defender Award, and in 2015 he shared the State Bar of Wisconsin Dan Tuchscherer Outstanding Public Interest Law Attorney award with his long-time teammate, Karyn Rotker.
