Joining the Youth & Civil Liberties Council is just as easy. The Council is a statewide network of young people who are dedicated to inspiring leadership in their peers and building a working knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of youth in America. Council members are not directly affiliated with the policies and operations of the ACLU as a national organization. For more information contact Emilio De Torre, Youth & Program Director, at youth@aclu-wi.org.

 Become a Funder
The ACLU of Wisconsin Foundation (ACLU/WIF) is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization. The Youth & Civil Liberties Council, being an initiative of the ACLU/WIF, is also a charitable enterprise that accepts donations from public and private foundations as well as individual persons. The YCLC relies on donations from those who support our mission to continue in its efforts to build leadership and self-empowerment in young people and build a working knowledge of young people's rights and responsibilities as U.S. Residents. The monies or material items received with the express intent to benefit the YCLC are marked only for use by the Youth & Program Director and will not be used for litigation purposes.

 Form a Chapter
Forming an ACLU chapter is definitely worthwhile. High schools and colleges around the country have vital chapters that receive support from both their state headquarters and the national office. These chapters are able to successfully address issues of civil liberties in their area. If you are interested in starting a chapter at your school, contact Emilio De Torre, Youth & Program Director, at youth@aclu-wi.org.
