Over 6,000 high school students across the State of Wisconsin have come together over the past 7 years to talk about issues that they face everyday, but do not have a forum to address. From race and sexual identity to gender and religion, there has never been a more important time for young people to recognize their power to overcome divisions and ignorance.

the other america tour takes participants through a three-part program that helps them to understand issues through Awareness, Responsibility & Action. The highly interactive program features the “Tunnel of Oppression”, live poetry and spoken word performances, activities, guided small group discussions, and skill-building workshops to increase confidence and skill to take positive action in their schools and communities.
