There Is More than One Way To Support Civil Liberties
Civil libertarians now have more ways to support the ACLU of Wisconsin
and the National ACLU. You can do it when you go grocery shopping, buy
a book, or place a phone call. It doesn't get any easier than this.
Schwartz Gives Back
Every time you make a purchase at one of the five Milwaukee-area Schwartz
Bookshops, 1% of the total purchase will be donated to the ACLU of Wisconsin
Foundation. In addition you will receive mailings from Schwartz tailored
to your book interests. There is no cost to you.
To participate just go to Harry
W. Schwartz Bookshops website and complete the on-line
sign-up form and you will receive a note confirming your Schwartz
Gives Back membership has begun.
Community CHIP
Community CHIP
is a fundraising program that supports 40 groups coming to making Madison
and Dane County a better place to live. As a participating agency, the
ACLU of Wisconsin receives part of the funds.
The program, sponsored by Community
Shares of Wisconsin, works the following way:
When checking out at participating stores, say "I want to CHIP"
and the cashier will add a 1% donation to your purchase. That's only 30
cents for a $30 bag of groceries or goods. The store then collects the
money and sends 100% of the contributions to Community CHIP.
To find the participating stores go to Community
Shares of Wisconsin and click the Community CHIP link.
